Severodvinsk is considered by right to be the cradle of the marine nuclear energy. More than 50 years ago the first national vessel with nuclear reactor – atomic subma-rine К-3 was built on Sevmash. XXI century put new tasks. Today Sevmash produces the experimental structures, available to change the power supply system of Russian Federation in future.

According to the decision of the Federal agency for the atomic energy, the floating power generating unit will be built on Sevmash for the atomic heating and power station. This design is “know-how” not only in Russia, but in the whole world.

In 2006 the floating power generating unit was built at the enter-prise for unique Kislogubskaya tidal power station.
