Today Indian specialists, who live in Severodvinsk, and their families celebrated national holiday of their country – the Republic Day.

Republic Day is one of the main national holidays in India, which commemorates enactment of Constitution and conversion of country status from British dominion to republic.

Sevmash Director General Andrey Dyachkov congratulated the Indians, who reside in Severodvinsk: “In a short period people of India managed to draw their country forth and position it among other advanced, intensively developing countries of the world. Throughout this period people of the Soviet Union and Russia were there for them. We repeatedly proved our relations to be friendly in different complex situations. And today, while building together a powerful and modern ship of great necessity to Indian Navy, we honour steadiness of friendship between our nations”. As a gift Indian specialists received from Sevmash a landscape painting, which, after completing aircraft construction and coming back home, would remind them of Russia.

The holiday was celebrated with folk songs and dances, and an Indian movie was screened.
