Visit of Indian Ambassador Print

Extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of India in the Russian Federation Adjay Malhotra visited Sevmash.

It is first visit of A. Malhotra, who was appointed in May, in Severodvinsk. After inspection of the aircraft cruiser «Vikramaditya» he said, that repair and modernization of the ship is carried out according to plan. He paid attention to high quality of works, about which his Indian colleges reported. A. Malhotra met with Director General of JSC «PO «Sevmash» Andrey Dyachkov, Chief engineer Alexey Alsufiev and Deputies of  Director General Mikhail Budnichenko, Sergey Novoselov and Andrey Monogarov. Mikhail Budnichenko presented him the model of nuclear-powered submarine of project number 971. Ambassador thanked leadership of the town, JSC «PO «Sevmash» and JSC «SC «Zvyozdochka» for warm reception of him and his wife in Arkhangelsk region.

One of goals of visit became creation a memorandum between Severodvinsk and military men and members of their families, living in the town. This document was signed by Head of administration of  Severodvinsk Mikhail Gmyrin and Head of Warship overseen team for repair and modernization of «Vikramaditya» Captain of the first rang R. Svaminatan. The memorandum helps to develop collaboration in cultural, sport and social spheres. Now town with military-navy history and traditions is searched in India for Severodvinsk.
